Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

Im a sucker for mafia stories. Which.. well. I think it makes me even more particular about these types of books. Im a bit pickier when it comes to the hero and heroine - because lets face it. This IS the mafia. The baddest of the baddies. The most alpha of alphas. They make their own rules. And when we're talking about the "higher ups" - I definitely have a certain type of person in mind when it comes to them. Vlad Vasiliev has it all.
Vlad had everything in a mafia book that I look for and more. He was cunning, conniving, smart, determined, brutal and just the type of person you envision taking over a mafia family. His circumstances put him in a position that didn't get him the end result he wanted - Irina. So he played the game, working every angle he could - in order to get what he wanted.
Irina - This poor girl broke my heart sometimes. She was a strong girl. Determined. Seeing these two together, their chemistry and the way that they completed each other. My goodness. The feels. I got so many feels. Angry, sad, happy, and..ooooh boy was it hot! WOW!
Lets face it. It's a mafia story. It's not all pretty and romantic with candies and roses. It's messy. Its bloody. It's intriguing and it was absolutely BRILLIANT. LOVED this story and I cant wait for the next one!
