Jessica Hawkins grew up between the purple mountains and under the endless sun of Palm Springs, California. She studied international business at Arizona State University and has also lived in Costa Rica and New York City. To her, the most intriguing fiction is forbidden, and that's what you'll find in her stories. Jessica Hawkins is a remarkable author.  She has a way with words that draws you in instantly, making you crave more.  In this follow up to Something in the Way - she does NOT disappoint.
We learn so much more Manning in this book than we did with the first. I feel like I understand him a bit more.  Even Lake - she's more mature. And she definitely gives you the hopes and dreams and feels that a beautifully written character should.  As much as I wanted to strangle Tiffany, I understood her a bit more, too.
But my. GOODNESS.  I feel wrecked. I feel heartbroken.
I feel SO MUCH for Lake and Manning.  My heart. Seriously.
I CANT WAIT for Move the Stars - I NEED to know what happens in their story.
Because this one? Left me wrecked. Crying. Torn.
In all the best ways a book can leave you.
LOVED this book. A MUST have in your collection.
