I can't put into words how amazing this book is. L.J. Shen is a phenomenal author. (Seriously, I've read ALL of her previous books and she just gets better and better.) The quality of writing, the depth of the characters. The lyrics to the music. L.J. Shen has outdone herself with this book. The range of emotions you go through.. You feel it to your bones. These are the kind of words that make your spine tingle. Yes. This book is THAT good.
Alex Winslow. The biggest Rock-God on the planet. Difficult, broken, betrayed, and hurt. He's blinded by his pain. With a mountain of poor decisions to recover from, his "team" puts him on a tight leash. Enter Indie. Hired to watch after the beast that is Alex Winslow - this strong, kind, generous girl gives the Rock-God a run for his money. The story they weave together? Magical. They *hate* each other, and let me tell you.. The sparks definitely fly. The quick wit, the banter, the angst, the sweet pull they have to each other. Nothing short of spectacular.
You FEEL so much with this book. These two had my heart pounding in my chest. I wanted to slap Alex. I cried. I laughed. I COULD NOT put this book down! I was up till 3AM reading, only to wake up 3 hours later to finish it.
This is by far L.J. Shen's absolute BEST work to date. Alex and Indie are fantastic. I'm still recovering from this emotionally charged masterpiece. I need more. I promise, you'll be craving more long after you're done with the words as well. If there was one book you needed in your library? It's this one. Absolutely one of my favorite books EVER.
